1. How many people do I need to have a successful party?
There really is no set amount, however; the more people that attend your party the more you can earn! The more people you can get to the party who want to exchange gold, the better the party will be. But even if you have friends without gold bring them too! If they book their own party you can earn more money. And of course, the more people the more fun, and that’s really what matters.
2. How much does Karats to Riches pay per gram?
We pay the top dollar in the industry for all scrap gold. The price we pay for your unwanted gold is based by what karat and weight you have. We pay out only on the gram “ and not by the penny weight .” Many buyers give a false perception by advertising they pay a higher dollar amount per gram; this is because they are paying out on the “Dense Total Weight”, or the pennyweight mode. The difference is; each gram is 2/3 a pennyweight, so if you have 100 grams it would equal 66 penny weights.
3. How much can I make throwing a party?
Party hosts are paid 10% of all gross gold sales. In addition, any party booked during the course of your party earns an additional 5% co-host commission. Add to this special incentives to spice up the party and a host can easily make $500-$1000 for throwing a two hour party!
Our average cash payout to the host on a 10-12 person party is $600. We pay the most in the industry to make sure that you choose us when considering your party!
4. Is a gold party illegal?
No! It is totally legal, and safe; as long as the company is licensed & insured and not open to the public. It is a private and social event and “You” the host, are inviting your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors into your home.
5. What if some people can’t attend my party?
They could always leave their scrap gold with you the host, and we will figure out how much it is worth. Then you can call them with our offer and get their approval. This works well and assures that you maximize your party earning potential.
6. What about the gem stones in a ring or bracelet?
A majority of the stones in jewelry are glass, however; our trained representatives are equipped with the proper tools to remove almost all of the stones from your jewelry, and give them back on the spot.
7. Do you buy diamonds?
Yes! However, we only buy larger diamonds that are usually 1 karat plus in size. We will take a look at them on an individual basis.
8. Do you pay on party referrals?
Absolutely! We pay a 5% commission on all successful party referrals.
9. How long does an average party last?
How long do you like to party? We typically come for a 2-3 hour period during the party, but we encourage you to set the party time for as long as you like. The key is for you and your guests to have fun.
10. How far will you travel for a gold party?
Currently we will travel to all parties in the New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit and South Florida. We will also travel to large parties anywhere in the country, so contact us and let us know where your party will be and we’ll see you there.
11. Where do you test and determine the value of the gold?
We test and weigh everything right in front of you and teach you about the process to you while we are doing it. This makes everyone completely comfortable with the process, and makes our gold parties a learning experience as well as a fun money-making experience.
