Joining Karats to Riches in 2010, Milvie M. and Jobie P. of DC have experienced the roller coaster of a ride we all face in the gold business. Why we persevere, we think, is a mixture of love for what we do, hard work, and some luck to try and get into new networks. Once we are there we always try and keep our party’s fun. I am a Gold Rep with Karats to Riches starting with the company in April of 2011.  I became interested in this opportunity after hosting a gold party at my home.  At that time I was employed full time but knew the company was not in good shape.  Fearing a lay off I knew I needed a plan B.  A friend and I started this endeavor together; researching many companies before determining Karats to Riches was the best fit for both of us.

This has been a great opportunity and allowed me to build a savings account as the fear of being let go from my full time job became reality. I have met many interesting people through this business as well.  My favorite part of the job still is to tell the customer how much I can buy their gold for and watch their reaction.  I have seen tears, laughter and shock.  One particular woman brought every piece of jewelry she owned to her daughter’s party.  After testing the pieces I found that only a few pieces were gold, but because of the high gold prices I was still able to offer her several hundred dollars.  Tears started to flow, she went on to explain the financial situation she was in and how much this money would help, the whole time holding my hand.

The Varsity and JV dance teams from Civic Memorial High School (The Pazzazz Dance Team) and parents would like to thank Karats to Riches for the great fundraiser held at our high school last night.  Our competative dance teams hold fundraisers throughout the year to raise enough money to compete across the state of IL as we receive no money from our school in doing so.  Needless to say, we are always looking for cost effective and successful events.  This was by far the easiest and most cost effective event for our booser club.  Our team managed to raise $1,750 and earn 2 Ipads in doing so.  We are going to raffle the Ipads off to help generate additional funds.  I also believe 5 additional parties were booked through our event.

Cindy B. has been a great east coast hostess for us, and has organized two Gold Party fundraisers.  She recently provided us with a testimonial discussing her experiences with Karats to Riches Gold Parties.  Thanks Cindy!

I had never heard about a Gold Party, much less attend one. However a few months ago a friend of mine was hosting a Gold Party with Karats to Riches, and giving a portion of the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research. I thought it was a great cause so I decided to attend the party. I was pretty sure I didn’t have much gold to sell, just a few stray single earrings, a couple of charms from an old 80′s bracelet and a few other broken pieces. I never imagined I would have had $450 in old gold. I am also not one to host an at-home party, but that night, I decided to book a Gold Party at my home to celebrate the end of the school year.

I had been thinking about how this type of party would make an excellent fundraiser for various organizations. I had several conversations with other people telling them how great I thought it could be for them. I wasn’t even thinking about a Gold Party as a fundraiser for our school; until someone else at the party mentioned it to Rick. And that is all it took. Rick provided me with great background information on how much our school could expect to earn, I was able to get an approval from our principal and the rest is history. In a very short period of time, we sent home flyers and communicated to parents through email and our automated phone system.

We combined the Gold Party with another one of our fundraisers so that people who were already attending the other event, could just step out for a few moments into another room and sell their gold. We had a great turnout and generated a huge buzz when people realized how their old, broken, unused or unwanted jewelry could be turned into a significant amount of cash — just in time for the holidays! Of course there were people who were a little skeptical at first because they were unfamiliar with Gold Parties, but after speaking to so many who did sell, they were upset that they didn’t bring their Gold. But not to worry, Karats to Riches helped us raise over $3,000 for our school and we have decided to have another party just 5 months after the original party! So anyone who missed out on the fun the first time, can be part of the excitement this time!

It has been a great experience working with Karats to Riches. They have been extraordinarily fair, generous, honest, polite, responsive and just a pleasure to work with from the outset. The parties are so easy to run and we keep earning money for our school because for every additional party booked from our fundraiser, the school receives 5% off the proceeds of that party!

“My name is Janet and I’m a Karats to Riches rep in the LA area. I’m married and I havea son in college and a daughter in high school. I’ve lived in Southern California all my life, and I love to go to the beach, bake, read and ride my bike. I’ve been a gold rep withKarats to Riches since August and I absolutely love my new job!

I had been searching for a job that would provide supplemental income for my family when I attended my first gold party. After hosting one of my own and attending a couple more (Joe was the rep at the parties) I decided I would love to do what Joe was doing, and become a rep.

I’m not a sales person at all, and have, in the past, failed miserably at trying to be one with another company that also does home parties. That’s what I love about being a gold rep: There’s nothing to sell except the idea of making more money! Everybody wins at a gold party, so it’s very natural to share my excitement about Karats to Riches with people who attend my parties.

My name is Jo-Ann P., and I just had my Karats to Riches Party and wanted to share how happy and impressed I am with the outcome.

Being VERY familiar with the “home party” circuit, and it’s monotony, I was a little leery about having yet another demonstrator in my home. From the moment I contacted Karats to Riches, it was a new experience. The info, support, and professionalism were apparent and I was actually EXCITED!

My show was hosted by Joe, and my first guest walked-in with a mere hand full of gold and out with over $400, as did my next door neighbor. Joe was knowledgeable about gold sales and made everyone feel right at ease.

Two additional shows were booked from mine, and the cash in MY hand was the icing on the cake! I was so inspired by the success of my show, I’m becoming a Karats to Riches consultant!
