A Thanksgiving Tale

At Karats to Riches we are thankful that we work at a place where success is measured by the smiles of our customers.
We are thankful to have an amazing team of Reps located throughout the country who consistently deliver an incredible party experience day after day.
We are also thankful for our troops who protect our country throughout the world; many of whom are not able to be home on Thanksgiving today.
A few weeks back Mary K, an active mother in the Military Moms Organization in Michigan contacted us regarding a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.  The evening was a great success and we were glad that we could do our part to help raise a bit of money for the troops.

Afterward, I asked Mary if she would write up some of her thoughts, which I posted below.

In addition, her son Matt, captain in the U.S. Army, created a video to support the event! Click the following link to watch it.

Soldier update from Iraq to support gold party

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
“My son is currently serving in the U.S.Army and is stationed in Iraq and I am always looking for ways to support the troops.  After a suggestion from Rick from Karats to Riches I decided to host a gold party as a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project .
I never host “home parties” so I was a little hesitant.  Rick walked me through the preparation for the party which turned out to be very easy.  I emailed friends, family, co-workers and encouraged them to earn some extra Christmas spending money and help the troops at the same time.
The party was a success and I had a great time with my friends to boot.  After some simple appetizers and a glass of wine my friends walked away with thousands of dollars of gold and I received $900 to send to my charity.  Everyone came out a winner.”
